X+Y

I'm pretty sure that I've fallen entirely in love with X+Y also known as A Brilliant Young Mind - at least for the soundtrack if not for anything else.

You can find it here: X+Y soundtrack

(P. S. Who knew bowing a saw like a stringed instrument could be so beautiful?!?!)

Also, the British boy likes an Asian girl. Of course I'm going to like a plotline like that...

Basically, I like nuanced relationships. My favorite part was probably when he finally holds his mother's hand

Guess it proves that triumph is all the sweeter for the long, long wait.

And I'm a big fan of Asa Butterfield - ever since he was Mordred... then Hugo... and Ender. He is such a beautiful child. Ok now a bit of a beanpole of an adolescent... but still.

How can you resist this face?

Anyway, we seem to be a bit obsessed with geniuses in the culture lately... Sherlock, Scorpion, now Limitless. But I have to admit, I love geniuses, because they are slow to jump on the relationship train... and sometimes that's what I think I need. Since I'm excruciatingly slow. I need someone equally, painfully slow and awkward. Of course, geniuses are never as gorgeous as the media portrays them to be. That's my biggest problem with media. It makes us think that regular people will act like people on TV. Regular people don't. It's not just looks either. People just do not make decisions in the real world like people on TV do. Sometimes, it makes us unable to value the people right in front of us.

In my mind, I love geniuses. But in real life, I love my normal guy friends (the ones who have survived being friends with me) much more. Because they have actually stuck with me and care about me.

"When somebody says they love you, it means they see something in you they think is worth something... It adds value to you." ~ Julie aka British boy's mum
